      You bet! You must predict how the ball will come out before you hit the shot! Run the different scenarios in your mind until you find a club you can predict will get through the dandelion stem and have the ball come out!

    How does Goldielocks work with the side vision? You always say not to trust your side vision, but then getting the right “feel” on putts with it (regular shots as well).

      This is what is cool; as long as your brain receives a reference that is FOR SURE NOT FITTING, IT NOW HAS A BREAD CRUM TRAIL AND WILL FIND IT’S WAY!
      Bring it back gradually until the feel of too far to one side sits now on the line you want to start the ball;

    Shawn,
    A couple of observations from an old Army guy. I went through the 1.0 and some of the other videos and was amazed at how much sense it makes. My golf buddies would say I am a bit of a “not normal” swing seeker. With your swing system, I am wondering if they are normal. Ha! I have been doing some of the drills for about 4 days or so, I took it to the course for the first time today. Shot an 80 on a course I normally shoot 84-88. Scoring wasn’t an issue as I put myself in a couple of bad spots and paid the price for that. I noticed a couple of things, 1-my back was not sore in the least after 18 holes, where it would normally. 2- the contact was flush on the numbers on about 95% of my swings, compared to my old swing at around 60%. Setting up the right picture was the one area I struggled with and for a few of my poor swings I noticed i reverted back to my old swing. I can’t thank you enough, golf was fun today and I suspect will be fun for the foreseeable future! Thank you a million times over! great Vlog! would have liked to see what you ended up with but 3 holes was great none the less. Cheers from Texas!

    Really enjoying the various concepts… getting me on track. I notice however my follow thru is still inclined to move left and around, not so much up as Shawn exhibits. Might this be the tendency to use body first rather than free swinging arm “unit”.

    Took a lesson last year and was repeatedly told that the left arm ( for right golfer) is not a “puller” and should start rotation just below shoulder. Wow, intuitively Shawns concepts seem too logical and don’t cause soreness or strain… Just feels odd to let it rip thru. Wonder why golf instruction spends so much time talking about moving and setting wrist positions at top and turning thru with “axis” tilt to hold club face square thru impact…..???

      Hey Jack! They are simply looking at slow motion video of pga tour pros and then trying to get us all to copy those moves amd positions;
      The sick part is that they are focused on something else that creates those positions and not the positions themselves…we are already Pinnochio without the strings!

    Been struggling with ball position with my draw and looking for a little bit of confirmation on the feeling I’m getting . When I set up for my draw and pick where I’m gonna release through my intermediate point I visualize the door frame , the sole of the club cutting the stem and the low point in front of the ball creating a nice divot . After knowing my contact is good I’m picturing battering ram through the door frame with a release to the target but something feels off. It feels like I have to release my lag early and the ball starts on my target and draws away instead of starting right of my target . Also sometimes I’m hitting behind the ball , my suspicion is that my ball position is to far back for my draw does this sound right ? I try to do what you say and predict Based on my action to target and feeling instead of body parts but I feel some goldilocks is in need to remedy this just looking for confirmation.

    I was looking forward to seeing your preshot routine that you use on-course – but may be thats the way a preshot routine should be?

    Let me tell you where I am coming from. In your videos, you ask that we see the blurr as we feel the weight of the club swinging back and forth. That gives our mind a good reference of the ball path and feel. Thats great, thats on the range mat.

    But how should we properly do this on-course? Now, here is my thought – there seems to be 2 places to do this on course – the first is like Jason Day, you warm up behind the ball and then you walk forward to the ball and then setup, hit the ball. Another word, you treat the strike area like a holy area.

    The other way was to be like you’re at the range. You warm up next to the ball and then you step forward and set up. You dig up the area next to the ball and you pray you don’t accidentally hit the ball with the practice swing or part of the divot…

    So…whats the “best practice” that incorporate some nice swing to warm up for the shot and then setup and keeping your target in sight? There are many “schools of thoughts” on preshot routine but I didn’t seem to find your side of the story…

    So…I would love to see and hear your thoughts on how to incorporate all the practice feel, visualizing ball flight in a sensible preshot package. Thanks!

      Here you go!
      1-pick an “end target” or a place you want to have the ball end up

      2-pick a flight plan that fits your ability to get the ball there 

      3-find an intermediate point that will set you up into that picture-so that when you let the weight of the club release you to the target, you can predict that the ball position, the distance to the ball, the posture, and the grip-club face relationship will fit the flight when you let the club track itself into the direction you want to start the ball.

      4-set up done? Prediction of shot done?  It is now OUT of YOUR CONTROL, just give control to gravity and let the weight of the ACU release itself in the direction you want to start the ball. Look for the feel of that low effort and nice whipping velocity that unleashes that ball into that flight with freedom and abandon!

      5-DID YOU LET IT?  DID you stay with the feel of that release to that direction?  Or did you get distracted by “making sure” of a position or something else making noise around you? 

      If you stayed with it: how was the direction? how was the contact? How was the balance? How was the strain level?
      If you did not stay with it, something short circuited you and you were trying to do something else; what was that you were trying?  What were your concerns?

      6-The most important stat in golf is how many times (there are average 36 full swings on the golf course) were you able to stay with your shot all the way to the finish?  Can You CONFIRM WITHOUT A DOUBT THAT YOU felt the release of the club in the direction you wanted to start the ball?
