Having just subscribed ,I will say that of all the videos I have seen yours are the ones I always come back to(the reason I decided to subscribe). For various reasons, which I hope I can explore later. For now it’s because you ‘re not necessarily critical of a strong grip. I have thin wrists small hands and not so strong arms, so I need to use a strong grip. Actually it’s very strong with four knuckles showing. My question is should the right hand be placed in accordance with the way you describe in this video, in the neutral trigger position. Just to say I use the eight finger grip. Again because an overlapping or interlocking grip feels very loose.
Glad to be here.

Always good to come back to these videos every so often. Realized all old habits kicked in and I had no security (wasn’t using my last 3 fingers in leading hand) and was destroying my impact as well as obtaining blisters! Came back to wisdom and ready to get back to going LOW!

Ur the man Sean!

Hi,

What’s your thoughts on larger grips such as jumbo Max grips? Will these make any diffference for my swing etc?

Br,
Anton

Had to come back to this video to see if my grip thoughts were correct and sure enough they were not. I was trying to keep my trail hand grip higher up at the 2nd joint. Then I saw that it was to be along the lifeline and at the base of the fingers. Don’t know how I missed that. Now my grip seems really firm, maybe too firm but OMG just hitting rockets now with compression I have not seen one maybe ever. Proper tilt sure does not hurt either. Actually hitting some huge hooks not push hooks but I can fix that. Can’t look at those earlier grip videos.
Just awesome the way you teach feel and picture images to make it stick.
Thank you

Hi Shawn, After many years away just returned to your videos yesterday. I viewed the three first grip videos and used what I hoped was this grip today during a round. I cam home with two tiny blisters just in the crease between the middle finger and the palm and the same between the pinky finger and palm.

I also see a wear on my grip towards the top on my seven iron. I am wondering if I grip a little too far out or if it is that my club grip is too thick towards the top and I grip up there.

Shawn…
My wife just walked in from down the hall where we have our new rowing machine and asked if she could wear gloves… it never occurred to me that I did a session last night and that my blisters might stem from that… 🙄 But, the grip wear still remains …
