Hey Shawn,
Interesting video. I’m having trouble understanding the grip pressure that you spoke about.. If we apply that much pressure to the grip wouldn’t that inhibit the release and rotation of the club????? I just learned why my divots were always a bit deeper on the far side of the divot. I had no idea about the toe of the club being slightly up off the ground. I’ve always been trying to Have club laying level on the ground. Thanks I just singed up yesterday as Par level. After one day I’m upgrading to the Premium membership. .
Amazing when the G-Forces take hold in the swing how they release the arm club unit like snapping a whip!
It is just to prove a point though; let the flavour of the task dictate the grip pressure; lie, grass length etc…
Hi Shawn. Im right hand dominant but swing lefty. Any thoughts/advice on this?
This is my left handed swing! See “dominant lead hand shawn clement” on the regular channel as well as “how to ise the lead arm shawn clement”
Hi Shawn. Even with this grip I still feel the club rubbing on my hand pad at release . It is more noticeable with my driver. Could it be that my trail hand is just to strong and prying the club out of my lead hand? I’m lefty, with the club in front of me and I applying a fwd force against my right hand, my right hand little finger and ring finger are unable to hold the club even though my knuckles are white and my hand becomes numb from the gripping pressure I’m applying. When doing that, I feel the club rubbing on my hand pad similar to when I’m swinging. Any advise?
Use the grip acid test and perform with different size grips; see what sticks!

Hi Shawn, great videos! I have the same problem with John. The handle of the comes loose at the top of my back swing – which causes the club to still keep moving (to parallel or even slightly past it) even if I am already into transition from back to down swing. If I grip it too tight – I lose all tempo and timing on the swing.
Transition is all about using the weight of the ACU to perform the task; see the hammer drill video, the throwing the club and the anti-manipulation videos on premium; if you can perform the task, you are all set!
You can still hold the club very secure while using momentum; no problem!
Shawn,
Appreciate your videos very much. As far as grip I have always had trouble keeping the heel of my lead hand (right hand since I am a lefty) from coming loose from the shaft when I putany significant speed on the swing. I feel like my grip is correct and pressure is strong but doing your acid tests results in right hand heel coming too loose from the shaft every time.
Any advice appreciated.
Regards, John
Somwhen the lead hand is on the club only, it still comes apart?
