Hey Shawn, love this video as it’s helped me get longer more penetrating ball flight but my at the same time i am tending to have a more slightly pulled shots because of this strong grip. If I back off the strong grip the shots go straighter but are higher and weaker again. Any advice to keep the strong drip but not have it pull as much?

So from what I gather on all of this. Take the club and have it closed in front of you. Neutral Grip on a closed club face at address and then get into position behind the ball so I can feel like i am able to deliver the hammer or the arm club unit to the target. And as I swing to the target that clubface is going to square naturally? Have I got it?

Being an inexperienced player, and having just discovered you guys, I wanted to obviously start correctly. Already in one week I have noticed a huge difference in contact and direction with difference varying on how often I get it close to right. So many thanks for that.
When you turn the grip to Sav’s grip position should the club face be back to square? In an older video of yours it looked like you had student really closing the club face in final address to draw the ball whereas I thought you just changed the ball position and swing right of your marker. Could have been a mistake on my part.

Hi Steve! Great question!
the extreme version, which Mu started with, was very strong grip and very closed face (not for everyone) and then as his release got better with the “release” videos, he gradually came to strong grip and very slightly closed face. Savy is very strong grip but slightly open face because she loves the feel of the “locked in and torqued up sensation it gives her”. So instead of making her grip “weaker”, she keeps the super strong grip and simply opens the face. Mine, because I have a lot more seasoning in my release, is a nice strongish 3 knuckle grip where you will see my club face open at the top of the backswing but as soon as the kinetic chain kicks in, my right or trail elbow drops and affects the back of my lead wrist and brings it back to square glory without me thinking about it. The “goldie locks series” will help you fine tune this as well as the “draw fine tuning” videos. Enjoy!
