Nice concise and clear video. I follow your routine but don’t tap before the stroke. I think it will be a good set up finish, after getting my intermediate point, to verify proper distance to ball. How about Goldilocks OVER the ball before the putt? Then all that is needed is to lower the putter. If you accidentally hit the ball in practice no penalty under new Rules? Thanks Shawn.

I’m almost 80 and just realized why my handicap went from 7 to 17 in last four years looking at your grip videos. I’ve developed a lot (severe?) of arthritis in hands…especially right hand. Simply cannot replicate the ‘umbrella’ anymore.
Any suggestions? And totally understand if you care not to ‘touch’ this.
Cheeers,
Len
Yes, get some Jumbo Max grips like Bryson DeChambeau! Very tacky and much easier to use for arthritic Hands; also, the inflammation you have is caused by diet! See “grain brain” by Dr Perlmutter and get your food sensitivities checked!!
First off apologies for this comment not being related to this video, just thought it would be easier for you to see it on a later upload.
I noticed that watching my swing on video which is something a rarely do, I noticed that I get quite flippy through impact. I get round the course just fine because I fade 95% of my shots and it’s a shit I can really rely on, especially with driver.
Because of this flip I do struggle more to draw shots especially with the longer clubs.
I noticed on your slow motion swings your clubhead seems to pass your hand going through impact. So is this something that I should be trying to “fix” or just leave it as is.
I suppose my only problem is shots that can get a little floaty into the wind.
Cheers Shawn, loving the premium channel BTW man!! 🤜👍
Hey Adam!
Well, if you are looking for a nice high fade, you are in! Otherwise, you just need to master the top spin back hand ping pong release! See “dominant lead habd shawn clement” on youtube and the “low stinger” video
Extremely helpful Shawn! And thanks for making it in!
Regards
Ian
One of your Southern Hemisphere members (at least till mid March!
PS Using your tuition and getting out of my way I saw figures on my Swing Speed radar for driver I had never seen reached except by one of my scratch friends! (Prev only occasionally in high 80s yesterday 115) Very exciting and promising although I still have a lot to do!
Shawn, I am still waiting for a Bryson DeChambeau video that I can search for on your WIG Premium. Did see your discussion on YouTube where you say that he has to use a table tennis flip as he releases. As proof your video in the face on position, when your hands are at shoulder height in the follow through, shows the butt of your club pointing directly at me as you explain the flip he “has to do.” But a slow motion video of Byrson at the same position shows that the butt end of the club is still pointing almost toward the R side of his body, not 80 or so degrees away from his body pointing at me. as they would if he was using a table tennis back hand flip. It seems more to me that his hands are always in front of his body and his hinging is always directly in front of his torso, not swinging around his torso as with a table tennis flip. Love your teaching and videos — I am trying to combine all of your methods, as much as I can, with Bryson type swing. Your YouTube Video was great until you got into table tennis flip which I can not see in his swing. Thanks for all you have done for all of us duffers !
The back hand top spin ping pong release os not a flip; I don’t like using the term flip at all because human anatomy requires a release or rotational momentum of the appendage. Bryson simply has more elasticity in his body than me and more velocity as well which allows for more extension and width in the direction he wants the ball to go; and depending on weather he is hitting a fade or draw, the release would be more or less deep past the ball;
Try not to get caught up in the positions but more in the feel of this release; check out my “dominant lead hand shawn clement” video on youtube for more on that and “release fine tuning” on premium
great video on hip turn, I notice in practice and on launch monitor that when following your swing fundamentals that my shot quality , distance and power #’s are much greater when my L upper arm is somewhat married to my L upper pectoralis muscle. Given the task I want to perform, is this something you would advocate? Thanks in advance for your reply
Hey Joe! This adduction is all part of the kinetic chain and is a natural part of the downswing; it happens in using an axe to chop a tree down too! The upper arm re-connects in the downswing as you perform your task of cutting grass or squeezing through the door frame to ‘LEVERAGE” through the upper and lower cores through the legs and through the feet and spikes against the ground to compress the ball forward towards the target.
Can you feel the description I just made? 😀
You always want to perform the acid test for any grip and grip size;
Lead hand on the club only and squeeze-see “stop destroying your golf glove shawn clement” on you tube
See which size allows for the most secure feel; now if you have a hand injury or arthritis, that is another story!
Shawn
This is why like Wisdom in golf. Like this hip turn video, everything makes sense 👍 Normally they talk just “right” positions and forget how human body is build.
Awesome video huh?! 👍😀
Thank you for the comment Jukka; important to confirm anatomy and the my swing system is terrific for this; Bryson DeChambeau is really loving it too! Shawn
Is there a “consumer friendly” version of the Swingvision out there? I’ve seen some great teaching sessions with a K-Vest training mode and could see the same for this.
You want to make sure the putter-arm unit is hanging from the shoulder sockets; ABOVE THE GROUND SLIGHTLY. As you swing back and through without stopping, it should feel as if you cannot brush the ground. Problem solved!😀👍
Hi Shawn
Sorry I cant see where to leave a question which may not be directly related to a particular video Do we simply email your support?
Anyway, just to ask if there is any video where you go into detail on “the snap” to which you refer periodically?
Thanks
Regards
Ian
Hi Ian! Right here is fine! 👍😀
See “lead hand release” “trail hand release” and “release fine tuning” as well as “throwing the club” and “grip and arm motion” video titles in premium;
You tube would be “put some snap in your swing shawn clement” “throwing the club shawn clement”
