I just watched this video on your recommendation from my other post in the grip videos and OMG what a huge revelation! I don’t feel restricted at all anymore…I just didn’t have the right concept! If anyone reads this…PLEASE don’t cheat yourself and just assume you know how this feels from watching the video. Really go grab a hammer, a club, and follow along to feel this. You won’t regret it.

Thanks again Shawn…going to go redo the exercises in this video a bunch more times and work on the game 🙂 Great video!

A real staple in learning human arm anatomy in the release! Your boxing, tennis, ping pong, sword slashing, hockey and baseball actions just improved!

Dan Santucci

Doing the hammer drill with the left/lead hand helps me be feel and be more aware of the performance of the left side of the body and the left arm in the swing. The feeling of the swinging the weight of the arm/hammer unit with my left hand really turbocharges my release and promotes rotating into a full follow thru position with my chest facing the target and up onto the toes of my right foot. First tested it yesterday at the range and my clubhead speed and distance has really increased with more snap in my release and completing my swing follow thru. Pleasant surprise for a senior golfer like myself.

YES SIR!!!!💪👌👍

Hi Shawn! I’m assuming that ulnar deviation takes place as you reach full extension (with both lead and trail hands), then both hands pull back up into finish? It also doesn’t look like you have much flexion or extension, which feels awesome (just allowing the body to do its thing!). Are those both correct? Not something to think about while swinging, but want to ensure I’m maximizing that release! Thanks!

Question for the lead and trail hand release. When I do the lead hand drill, I can really feel the club pulling me forward into a nice finish position. With the trail hand drill the pulling is much less but noticeable. But as soon as I put both hands on the club, I do not feel any pulling. This might be one of the reasons why I don’t get into a proper finfish position from time to time. Any idea what to do?
Thanks,
Knut

I played hockey right handed but iam a natural left handed. I play golf 20 years right handed but 7 years ago, i switched left handed but i don’t feel iam getting better. Should I switch back to right handed in golf ?

Shawn Clement

Hi Christian! Answer these questions please:
1-tennis backhand or forehand is better for you?
2-baseball power at bat? Good or ok?
3-what side do you kick the ball for soccer?
4-what side do you throw the ball?-good arm and good sling or just ok?

Christian Duguay

1 Forehand or backhand I don’t played much tennis
2 bat whit left hand down like chopping wood with an ax
3 kick with right
4 just ok, shot with my left hand,

Thanks! Ps. when I follow your system, it’s easier to generate speed when Iam swinging right than left!

Christian Duguay

IAM swinging right in baseball and If I have to swing a club far away, I will swing whith my left hand like baseball

Christian Duguay

Definitely right! Thanks, club for sale !

Shawn Clement

Hot market right now! Good to be a seller!👍😀
