Hi Shawn,
Great video. New member after I was your videos on youtube. I went out and tried your ideas and they made sense. I hit very good shots and very bad shots so I’m missing more than a few pieces.
This video answered my first question on how my body position changes around the intermediate point.
Thanks,
Great Stuff!
Second video on this subject coming up in less than 12 hours!

Can’t wait for lesson #2 Shawn! Flat out Nuking driver wirh series 1!! 63yrs old and carrying Driver 285yds! You should be Number 1 ahead of Butch as a teacher! Just my 2 cents!! Love u man!!
Thank you William! I can hear and feel your enthusiasm in your words and it feels great on this end too; crazy fun game when we experience these awesome sensations and sounds and views; like being in a flight suit without the risk! 😝😎
I switched to a diagonal stance with my driver a few months back. I quit slicing and increased distance only to have the slice return. After, watching the video, I saw that during the one foot drill it is necessary to move closer to the ball. Yesterday, my drives were 50 yards further and no slice.
However, I have not had much success with the irons. I have one of two problems I hit behind the ball or I have a severe pull. It seems like once I move the rear leg back the ball forward of center in my stance. If I get behind the ball at setup I hit behind he ball which suggest that something is happening with my center. If I do make contact the ball goes a long way, with low projection and hooks to the right. This is true no matter which side of the IP I am aiming. There must be an easy fix?
CLASSIC CASE OF BALL POSITION TOO FAR FORWARD. Use the goldie locks method combined with the intermediate point to zero in on the ball position. The driber head is wider and the ball teed up which places the ball much more forward than the irons. Shawn
Shawn: I have used diagonal stance often over the years, but what convinced me to stay with it, was watching you do the “step” drill, and noticing you always had a diagonal stance, at the point of impact.
Yeah man! Awesome!
If you want to hit a fade and you aim left of the IP, what brings the ball back to the right. When I do that my ball goes straight left may even draw further left. I am missing something.
Awesome! All you need to do is open the face a bit; just a couple more degrees…
