Hi Shawn,
as I have experienced different distances of the IP infront of the ball does have different results.
For the driver I can keep it up to 2 feet in front, for the irons I am very confused.
One thing is clear without the IP the swing can get you in to all kinds of trouble.

Is there a hard and fast rule how far the IP should be ahead of the ball for different clubs?

Shawn Clement

Well, there are no hard and fast rules about how people think and organize their thoughts; this is why I love the variety in my work! 😀👍
what I am showing is a very apparent pattern of how the eyes relay information to the brain. When you look at Anika Sorrenstam and David Duval, they both found a different way to find the target; time to find yours! 😀👍

Shawn,
Ithink I had my aha moment today. When you say gather in the backswing, I am assuming how much bakswing for .momentum? Also, for staying on task in the swing, I am letting my armclub unit fall through without strain? If this is correct, then I am we’ll on track. Can you please explain if this is gravity in swing? Thanks again for all your wisdom!!

Gene Czaplinsky

Shawn, when I close the face, I focus on allowing the clubface to open to counteract it. Is this a correct feeling? I suffer from a very flat backswing and opening the face allows me to lift the club more upright much more easily. Thanks.

Gene Czaplinsky

Thank you Shawn, will do. One additonal question: Do you have any videos dealing with a very flat backswing? It is the bane of my golf existence, no matter what I try. And thanks again, you have such a gift, a remarkable teacher.

was this series done before the new grip videos?

Shawn, how come you line up to the left of the intermediate point for a fade but you line up parallel to the intermediate point for a draw?
