Great lesson. Can’t wait to take it to the course. I’m sure this will make me a better ball striker. Thanks again for suggesting I sign up. I have told at least 20 people at the course I work at on Sunday to Visit your Site and Sign up. Thanks for all you do. At 74 you are making me look very Good most of the Times. I’m sure to get better with more Practice.
Awesome stuff, thank you! Nothing like “can’t wait to go practice” and have that anticipation coursing through the body; this game is the coolest for that!!
Hey Shawn, first of all thank you for all the great content! I wanted to ask a quick question regarding the braced tilt in related to the closed or “diagonal” stance. I have been experimenting with this stance lately because I feel much more braced and capable of released to the intermediate point with my back foot slightly back. However, if I try to apply the turn and tilt philosophy I struggle with ball contact. Any recommendations? Thanks!
OK, VERY IMPORTANT COMMENT-QUESTION HERE!!
EVERYTHING YOU DO AT THE SET UP MUST MATCH YOUR TASK.
So at the end of the set up, you are ready to deliver your throw in the direction you want to start the ball and the predictions are that
1-ball contact will be solid because you have a great posture, ready to move into a throw
2-ball will start on the line you want it to because the ball position is proper to the shot
3-ball will curve in the air the way you want because the geip-club-face angle is proper for the shot
4-you will stay in balance easily because your distance to ball is allowing for full freedom of arm swing in front of you-under and through
See “predict contact” and “goldie locks series”
As for the pre-turn and tilt-GOLDIE LOCKS IT.
-This would be too much tilt-will scrape the ground behind the ball and go too far right
-This would be too little where I feel like the club will bury into the ground.
Enjoy!😀👍
Nice video.
I am looking for the same sensation for the downswing.
I cannot find a feel for a powerful linar action in a rotary way – hope you know what a mean. From my side vision the target is linear left.
My brain wants to fire to the target my swaying lateral left…

Hi Shawn, regarding the brace, is the right leg acting like a strut that’s supporting the left leg ?Also what are the weight distributions on feet/legs from address to bracing and then throughout swing? Thanks Peter
Hi Peter!
I kind of don’t want you to be thinking about that during the swing because of how our machine cannot interpret dynamic motion consciously as it happens very well. A good video for practicing weight shift propely is the “walking Drill” in premium.
However; just so you know:
Address: 60-40 distribution in favour of the left side (for right handers)
Backswing 70-30 in favour of the right side
Top of backswing: back to 60-40 in favour of left
Impact 70-30 in favour of left
Finish 90-10 in favour of left
So Shawn, it’s time to leave a comment. After having watched all of your 28 million public videos on youtube and now became one of your 4,99er members, I have to confirm, that you have managed it to again add more value in your member home.
And that completely against my expectations, because I thought there would be nothing left to say.
Man, what a great content.
The only way for you to top that, is to learn german and offer a german wisdomingolf site.
So thank you from me, sorry for my english and greetings from germany.
