Steve Bohler

Shawn, can you recommend a video which helps to get a feel for when a backswing is too short or too long?

Shawn Clement

‘Tilt mile markers”, “purpose of backswing” and “using the weight in your swing-axe drill with Savy”

James Keefe

Shawn, this is by far the best explanation on how to swing a golf club. I used this video and the axe drill, plus swinging a sledge hammer (they definitely help emphasize the weight of the arm-club unit) and the results have been excellent.! I have added about a club and a half distance to my iron and wood shots. I’ve gone from only hitting fade/small slice to being able to work a draw and a fade on command. My 6 iron is now my 180y club where it used to be my 160y club before watching your videos. Keep up the great content!

Shawn Clement

Awesome stuff James, thank you for taking the time to write this terrific feedback; much appreciated!

Neville Adams

I noticed you have a golf grip on your grass whip. Would you recommend I do the same to the grass whip I bought?

Shawn Clement

The tennis wrap on the grass whip’s wooden handle works very nicely!😀👍

Flip Gentry

There seem to be as much lag in the backswing as in the forward swing in the perpetual motion portion of this drill. Would this indicate the use of a lagging clubhead take away from a normal set up? Bill Mehlhorn said “the last thing to move in the take away is the club head.” I think this would be “float loading”. What are your thoughts on this technique?

Ron Dziuk

Hi Shawn, is there a reason why video from behind is taken on an angle as opposed to halfway between the ball and your feet? My preference would be the latter so that I could more clearly see things like the path of the club and body.

Thanks so much. This helped me immensely. I
was getting too hung up on trying to hit positions.

Keep up the greatness!
Ron

Shawn Clement

Hi Ron! Definitely an anomaly; have a look at the “pumping up the volume”video which will have a good view of the backswing and the same flavour as this one! Also see “feet together back to feet apart” video
