Great video. Since in the golf swing the right arm collapses and the left arm stays relatively straight, Isn’t the left arm (Right hand golfer) the arm falling with gravity? In other words, does the left arm pull the right arm?
No, I would not look at it that way; they both fall past the body as the body glides out of the way; always think about them as one solid piece; THE ARM-CLUB UNIT.
At the top of the back swing, should I allow the arms to fall or do I allow the body to swing the arms through without manipulation, as in the Battering Ram drill?
In a pitch or flop, I feel the arms fall through the stem along the ground past my body towards the direction I want the ball to start; so arms falling towards something means body has to grab the ground with the lean foot and turn out of the way for you.
Full swing would be “throw the club on that side of the intermediate point” which would correspond to the direction you want to start the ball on; which would load the body’s kinetic chain more assertively.
My first video and already I am hooked..
😀👍👊
See this is what confuses me. In this video you are swinging the arms in an across the body swing but in other videos you swing the arms up and down. Which is it? My take is you don’t stand and let your arm fall to the side. That is not the way the arms move. You place your arms in front of you and let them fall. This is the way they should move or am I wrong? Confusing video.
Sometimes you need to watch a video a couple times to get the gist; the ones on youtube this one coordinates with is the same title; see part 2 as well from above view!

Love this! Been hitting balls in my shed with a canvas to catch balls. I showed my golf partner this video because I was hitting the ball sweet! He said my head bobs up and down like yours in the video and that I should keep it level at all times! Puring the ball but now Im confused?
Great video. Your analogy of the hammer toss turned the light bulb on. Can’t wait to try this. thanks, T.
