Hi Shawn. Great stuff and very interesting material.
But I can’t download the sound, the music. Isn’t there another link available for it?
Sorry for that..
Best regards,
JP
Working on including it in the website again; things were lost in the server when we had to upgrade and working on getting it all out of my old computer! 😝😝
Hey Shawn. Been trying to download for weeks. Even bought the video series but the still can’t download the music! I emailed also. Please help!!
Working on it! Will have a solution soon! See the answer I have JP!
hi shawn, normally i play with loose arms and my only motor are my legs . sometimes i use also my shoulders together with my legs. Is it a combination of the two or should i use only my legs?
the shoulders are just sitting on the rib cage and are strapped into position. They don’t do anything but support the arm-swing. See ‘arm swing vs body turn” video
BTW… I drove to Richmond Hill for a lesson with Donna about tempo. Her lesson was FAN-TA-STIC!
Awesome stuff! What an amazing human being huh??!!😀👍
I think I missed it. What is the BPM for longer (3 -5 irons)?
ignore…i found it….duh!
Hey Shawn!
It seems that you almost come to a complete stop at the top of your backswing. Is that something that I should attempt to do to get better transition and rhythm? Is there a video that would best help with slowing everything down . Just need consistency especially off the tee! Penalty shots are killin me
Yes, see “how to use the weight in the swing-axe drill with Savy” on premium!
hi Shawn, what player are you using that allows you to slow down the music using a metronome type of speed?
We had the same piece of music recorded in all the BPMs.
Don’t know enough about it but I am sure there is an app! 😝😀👍
I can’t download the music in Chrome or Safari. Is there another way to access it?
Cheers
Yes, here is what you need:

Enjoy!
Hey Shawn, I’m loving your absolute pearls.😁 Q: While you were checking out the rhythm for your driver, what indicated that your first swing was too fast, not the bpm?
You just know! When your system is fighting the momentum and timing does not feel right; and man, it is fun to know and it does not take long to right the ship! Shawn
👍
New member. I’m coming from Dante’s swing system. I’m struggling with the backswing. Is it okay to be across the line at the top? It feels super long and almost to a reverse pivot. I’m really having to work on swinging to my target vs the ball.
Welcome home!!
The videos you want to see are the “mile markers for balance” “mile markers for contact” and the 4th video in the consistency series called the “mile markers for direction”
Have a look at those and then see what develops when you practice this!
An oldie but goodie on my youtube channel-see “overswing and fast backswing shawn clement”
I had a huge epiphany while listening to music and practicing. A couple weeks ago while doing the perpetual motion drill with my driver I felt I was right in synch with the song. I stepped up to the ball and with the same song on I just rhythmically crushed it with no effort and a perfect follow through and finish. Then last week while putting, I was taking some practice stokes and again felt right in synch. I rolled so many great putts from all kinds of distances. For some reason trying to catch that beat relaxes my whole body, allowing me a fluid easy swing. My short game practice has totally changed. I’m seeing the putt roll in or chip land while taking some practice swing and I step up to the ball and with the same rythm I just do it. I feel much more creative, practicing chipping and putting has never been so much fun or so easy!
It’s all about balance and rythm through out the whole swing!
Thanks Shawn!
Brings a whole new meaning to “whistle while you work”! 😀👍
If you have read any of Tim Gallwey’s Inner Game books, then you know about Self 1 and Self 2, and how Self 1 will interfere with Self 2’s performance of the task. My interpretation of using these rhythm music tracks while swinging is that they keep Self 1 occupied so that Self 2 is freed to perform the task without interference.
In his books, Tim discusses the following formula:
Performance = Potential – Interference
By listening to the music tracks, we reduce or eliminate Self 1 interference so that our performance can approach our potential.
Yeah man! Right on Andy!
Many of Tim’s teachings hold true to this day!
Almost met him once, he was supposed to have come to one of my sessions in LA but could not make it;

I’ve just watched your rhythm training for the third of fourth time, and I know it is helping me. I would ask the five iron rhythm is it equal for the five wood?
If possible I would like to see a super slow motion swing with the hands through the hitting area. I am having problems with my back hand RUSHING or over powering my front hand, which obviously spoils the shot. Any suggestions And training tips to correct us would be appreciated
Jeez man, just saw this post; so sorry but sometimes the system sends the comment or question to my junk box, so please email me directly if I have not answered withing 2 days!
This here is a focus issue, NOT A DEFECTIVE BODY PART ISSUE!!
Here is my focus sequence first; your priority is to now go get a task that will get you a feel of a release, or speed well past the ball so you know the difference between what you described as AT THE BALL and THROUGH THE BALL TO THE PICTURE.
If you get ahead of the shot, you will have to hurry up and release quickly to not miss the ball, very frustrating feeling that I remember oh so well a couple decades ago; HATE THAT RUSHED FEEL!!!!
See our “Stay behind the ball” videos on youtube and also the first video in the “consistency series” right here in premium. Then throw some clubs like in our “Club speed” video here in premium but be safe! See also “throw the club straight shawn clement” on youtube
Then see our videos about “the release” And finally “predict contact”
All the best and Happy New Year!
I’m using the metronome for my tempo not quite the same as the music. I can tell I need rhythm training, I am way to aggressive in transition. When I put it at 3/4 time it is much better, slows the back swing nicely. I have a lot of work to do. I got the downhill swing in today. Wednesday I’ll warm up with some 3/4 time swings before I play. Feeling good…Thanks for your help!
Awesome Matt!
If you are good with walking and cutting grass, find the CPM that matches that;
Shawn
So, I have one length clubs do I keep the same beat for all irons? then 3 metal 44 beats and driver around 40?
Exactly! Perfect! Shawn
