Hey Shawn, Today I was watching your The Move video from 5 years ago on you tube and have a question. In this video you mention Henrik Stenson and how at setup he has more weight on his trail leg Are you advocating this to aid in engaging the kinetic chain at the transition in your actual swing or just as part of a drill to practice to engrain a certain feel. Thx
Hey James! sorry I missed this one! If I do that next time, email me direct to let me know! 😀👍
For those who struggle getting into that pocket of stability into the backswing; to get the ground properly to set up the backswing as if their kinetic chain was already in motion; see “super slow-super relaxed-super wide backswing series” that will create the same kind of awareness!
Another “GEM”. Thanks.
This is what I was looking for. However i worked very hard to get my weight to the front foot earlier in the downswing to syrike ball first the ground. Now I am thinking that iI am getting it to the lead foot too early instead of pushing off the trail foot longer. Should I be letting the weight shift forward later in the downswing? I think it is costing me power. Your thoughts?
Hey Craig! Go to the “walking drill” and practice cutting some very tidy rows of grass as you walk, when it feels coordinated, which won’t take you more than 15 minutes of training, you will then feel the TIMING OF THE WEIGHT SHIFT.
Then please go see “kinetic chain series” for a really cool 7 part video series and then in the original “off season training series” at the 7th or 8th video we do a WALK AND THROW training video.
so at the end of this, your main task will be to throw in the direction you want to start the ball using the nice momentum build of the walking drill. Be sure you have seen and know how to “predict contact” and “the goldie locks series”. When your kinetic chain engages the way the human machine was designed, you will have a turbo to your swing.

Hi,
New to this instruction. I find it very informative but I am hearing things In videos that I have not learned yet like using the weight of the club. I have tried finding the order of videos but I can seem to find a good order. I understand everything your saying I have actually felt it in my swing when it is good but I have a very hard time giving up control and I actually try to make the club weightless which I think is the opposite of using the weight where is the best video of how to feel the weight of the club so I can feel the heave levetation and drop. My swing has been reallyh out to in as of late.
Thanks,
Daniel
Hey Daniel! First thing is to find a task that suits you: see “task trumps everything” and “top 3 tasks” to begin. You can then watch a nice series like the senior series which gives you a great sequence of priorities; it is not just for the senior player BTW! 😝😀👍
So useful!
