Thank you for another great video! I’m entering a new ‘fun’ phase of learning after a lot of frustration of unlearning what I had been taught for over a decade. No more body part positions or thinking I need to change my swing because I miss hit the ball. I was the calmest golfer you’ve ever seen yesterday, thanks to your life’s work and this amazing catalogue of information.

Hello Shawn,

I am sure you have answered this question already numerous times but I am still unclear about the alignment of the feet. Are they aligned towards the target or aligned where the ball should start like right of intermediate point if you want to draw the ball (for right hand golfers)?

Hi Shawn:

I really enjoy doing the first of these two drills and feel like it has helped me immensely at finding the center of the club face. However, squeezing the ball through the door frame tends to lead me astray. I think the door frame analogy accidentally makes me focus on the ball and I end up somehow moving a bit closer to the ball in the process of trying to squeeze it through (wedge shanks…yikes!). Is this common when attempting to do this drill and what are your thoughts on how I can avoid the tendency to shank with the wedges? Thanks and all the best! – Chris

Been struggling with ball position with my draw and looking for a little bit of confirmation on the feeling I’m getting . When I set up for my draw and pick where I’m gonna release through my intermediate point I visualize the door frame , the sole of the club cutting the stem and the low point in front of the ball creating a nice divot . After knowing my contact is good I’m picturing battering ram through the door frame with a release to the target but something feels off. It feels like I have to release my lag early and the ball starts on my target and draws away instead of starting right of my target . Also sometimes I’m hitting behind the ball , my suspicion is that my ball position is to far back for my draw does this sound right ? I try to do what you say and predict Based on my action to target and feeling instead of body parts but I feel some goldilocks is in need to remedy this just looking for confirmation.
