This a great exercise! I watched the Anti-manipulation post as well, very good.

The last comment in the clip about not using the arms to apply more pressure, I have been practicing that a lot as it feels counterintuitive. I am playing 18 holes tomorrow, lets see if I can put it into practice 👍

Hi Shawn,

So it’s all ground force for speed and power then?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Shawn, I noticed the same difference in the release as Bryan mentioned. Between your rehearsal whete you have a lot of room for your right elbow, the actual swing does often not show this “space”. Can you please clarify this?

Shawn, every time I watch your lessons, I learn something new and/or you remind me something that you teach previously. My daughter and I like this penny drill a lot. We can’t say enough thank you to you!

This is excellent! This is where I am having my problems. It is so hard after years of “hitting the ball” to overcome that urgency. You are right, this is the “magic sauce”, but easier said than done.

Hi Shawn, I noticed a slight difference in the swings between this video and the football drill elbows. It appears as though the right elbow does not clear like the elbow on the football drill. The follow through are even a little different. The football drill appears to show more extension whereas this video has a quick wrist release. Hope that makes sense , but hoping you can clarify what I’m seeing here. I’ve done both drills and like them both but they feel different. Thanks!
