Hi Shawn, having trouble with flush contact with the ball. Mainly my problem is thinning, topping. I am a 6 handicapper. I feel I have the problem of timing, using my posture through the ball. When I use the child swing analogy I never have the consistency of timing the up/down movement during the strike. Can you point me to the right video. I have seen them all, but maybe you can give me an idea. Thanks
Oh yes!
‘Predict contact” and “goldie locks series” is where to start and confirm the predictions without which, you will continue to have your issues. Then see “pre motor cortex series” and “target confirmation series” for a more in depth dive towards the “flow state of golf” 😀👍
Hi Shawn, when I’m out playing on the golf course, competitively in our local comp., I often hit to the left I feel like my top half has gone past my legs. Could you tell me some videos to watch to feel the sensation of staying behind the ball after impact.
Really enjoy all the videos, maybe watch to many to over fill my head!! I think I’m looking for the fix to my golf swing, maybe this or maybe that. Cheers Mandy
Hey Mandy! The best drill for this is the throwing of the club!
See “throw the club” and then see “predict contact” so that the ball does not distract you when throwing!
Deepen this with “target confirmation series” and “pre motor cortex series”
Happy throwing!! Be safe!!
Hi Shawn, really appreciate your take on golf instruction. Have used lots of different utube teachers and became very disillusioned, watched your free ones for a while and decided to subscribe, I’m now looking forward to practising, instead of feeling like it’s a chore. One of the things I struggle with is going from say an 8 iron to the driver, I get myself in a rhythm with one club, but when I pick the next one up, it takes me a few shots to get back into a rhythm with that club, any pointers would be appreciated, many thanks, from. Martyn in the UK.
That will evolve for sure; what is important is you getting used to the prediction process; the prediction based on you getting ready to deliver a nice action in the direction of where you want the ball to start into the flight plan.
“when I deliver that lumberjack feel in that direction, does it feel like the ball will be struck nicely and will it fly the way I want it to?”
See “predict contact” and “goldie locks series” as well as “blur of the club”

Hi Shawn, I continue to have so much trouble with thin shots, and occasionally fat. Which drills and videos should I watch?
Best,
Ben.
First is to find the correct task;
Which is your favourite?
Cutting grass?
Sending a carrot peel to target?
Squeezing a ball through the door frame?
Throwing the club?
I Would do the grass cutter but I live in Tucson.
I love the squeezing the ball through the door frame.
Ok, good!
See “hammer drill” and “battering ram” videos on premium!

Excellent ! Thank You
Hi Shawn, A huge thank you. Watched The shallow out your swing video on YouTube, and proceeded to finally break 80 this morning at Arizona National! 41-37 🙂 Thank you
Hi Shawn, loving all of your video series. I’m having trouble with tilt. I start well with some
good tilt, but video shows me losing tilt at the top of the backswing, and when I start the downswing, I actually slide/ sway forward, moving my sternal notch forward 3-4 inches. Keep up the good work!
FAST FORWARD TO OUR VERY LATEST “CONSISTENCY SERIES”!! Which is about the last 8 weeks; and this is all about awareness to staying centered back AND through the shot; how to feel that unwinding in the downswing that is around an axis that does not move forward. Enjoy!
