Hi Shawn – this video and the pull versus push sensation really clicked with me and has resulted in a lot better shots releasing towards the target.
Is there a specific task you recommend thinking about to get the pull sensation/left hand on top of the right/left shoulder higher than the right? I’m having a hard time doing it without thinking positionally. Any other videos you’d suggest?
Thanks!
if not fully focused on left foot being grounded i tend to drop foot back and like am swinging to 3rd base and pull everthing hard left
Good awareness! See the tasks that will hold you to the target and make sure you have that intermediate point dialled in!
Shawn, Ilove this video and probably should watch it daily! While I diligently try to stay with and swing to my target, it’s more fuzzy on longer shots. Can I tie in the intermediate target to my awareness and focus of the release through/over while being aware it’s in the way to the target? Hard to describe but sometimes I swing and get solid contact when I am aware of and reacting to the intermediate target. “out there” but not Out There?!
Yes, think of it as a stepping stone to the target! A mile marker on the way out there if you will;
Good stuff Rob!
