Hi Shawn. Do you feel the weight transfer taking you all the way back to your left foot before you start the downswing? Kind of like the counter fall the golf gravity folks talk about. Thanks again for all your fantastic work!!

if you have to think about it, it’s too late!! See “kinetic chain facilitation series” (#6 is my favourite!) and or the “throwing series” as well as the “pumping up the swing volume” video.

good content thanks. i have been following the videos in sequence and you refer to target, intermediate point, play a fade, or draw. my issue is, at this pint you dont cover these topics and there maybe a missing piece of the puzzle of instruction.

you need something to tie them together.

Thank you

Michael Orthman

Thank you, I will.

New to golf since April 2021; early 60s. At the range on the weekend, working on 3 wood off deck; initially struggling with solid contact, even with “whipping skip / deflection” as task. After many balls, had worthwhile realization that take-away of club head (to achieve desired strike path) works better when both hands feel activated (both to feel like full contributors to the movement, as opposed to one being more just along for the ride). I wasn’t conscious of that difference before; probably defaulting to my dominant hand (which is right hand / trail hand), in my take-away.

Hi only been following you about a month now . would like to get it to what you are doing in this video about staying on task only . Is it okay to do this . I set up to ball with task in mind of throwing club to target . line up to intermediate point depending on shot type , close clubface and shift back behind ball to square clubface . at this point I just think about throwing club to target. Hitting decent shots. Should I just find that grip and posture position behind the ball and automatically setup in that position and cut out the closing clubface then shift back behind ball routine. You seem to just step in and hit the ball with task only in mind . Should my present routine affect my consistency.

Hey Shawn, Savannah
Well I still am having a rough time with the Driver, lost all confidence, so started using my 5 Wood and 80% in the fairway with that and I cant seem to figure out the Driver. 5 Wood going about 185-200 m off the tee. Keeps me in play so not sure what to do with the Driver…so frustrating..anyway hope you both are well and will check in again soon..thanks for all you do. I really enjoy watching all the videos..hopefully soon It will play out ..ciao

Shawn – I agree that we need to set our brain to thinking about the task (cutting the dandelion). However, before we get to automatic…. it would seem that we need to start from some point of understanding to get to the top of the backswing, to maintain balance while making a full turn. It seems that… If I don’t focus on my feet action and ground forces to start the swing…. I miss a full turn and the machine falls apart. What might I be missing?

Ah. I have not done that. I’ll start working through that series now. Thanks.
