I seem to hit my long irons very low and shorter than they should be compared to other irons, could my ball position be too far back for them to come out lower and short

Shawn Clement

Hi Justin! Very simple: With the long irons, you always want to plan on the height you want to deliver with; see the “best lesson I ever got from Moe Norman Shawn Clement” on youtube; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQzuVlgpM_I&t=53s

You often mention getting behind the ball and even heard left cheek once or twice. Can you elaborate? Thanks

I love all my clubs. But it seems like even more of an accomplishment when you crush the 3 or 4 iron. I started making great contact when I took your instruction and started using the intention of swinging up to the sky. Gained height AND distance. Kudos.

p.s. I am jealous of your huge hip turn and I’m on the quest to get one of my own. That has to be the key for maximum power.

Shawn, great food for thought! Thanks. Looking forward to the next sessions. Breathing deeply in the meantime ….
