Thanks Shawn, this one continues to be my homework for the month. Very tough to stay away from that 40 bits per second thinking; gurus and mystics have been trying to for millenia!
Haha; just stay with the simple task Grasshopper! 😝😀👍
Shawn
Great video and just what I’ve been working on this week! I feel like when the feet together backswing causes my legs to straighten, I often have trouble getting back down to the same leg bend on the downswing causing me to either be too high or too low. Any advice? Thanks.
When you come back down, it is because you stayed on task and needed the ground to deliver the shot to the target. See “throwing the club” video on premium.
When you are focused on throwing to the target, you will come back down to the ground to engage the kinetic chain, so see the 7 part series on kinetic chain too, it is fun!
When you stay up, it is because you need to stay up to hit AT THE BALL, or if you are being careful NOT TO MISS THE BALL.
TO SEE THE LEVEL OF COMMITMENT TO A SHOT, see the hammer throw in track and field, talk about staying with something because your life and others, depends on it! My favourite is Yipsi Moreno

Thanks!!
This is what I need to anchor my swing?
This could very well be it!! 😀👍
Feet together-cannot lift the right foot-gives the feel of the anchor
Feet apart and no release of the right foot-forces the left hip to return behind you and this is what will give you the Matt Wolff clearing to the target!
Then let the right foot come up at the very end only after you have released in the direction you want to start the ball.
Hello Shawn,
I note that on your finish at the end of swing your left leg is amost perfectly straight. Do you have a drill that helps me acieve this. When I finish, I my left leg is still slightly flexed so it may indicate to me that I annot rransferring my weight completly.
Thank you for all your help,
Ed Fitzgerald
The feet together drill is probably one of the best golf drills ever – it has helped me tremendously. The drill take care of the centering aspect as well as the catapult concept. I have never seen this drill on the regular golf learning channels, this is very strange in my mind…
You bet Jimmy! The reason why feet together never worked with other methods is that they were RESISTING in the backswing and not ALLOWING THE BUTT TO SWIVEL and not allowing the legs to extend.
We have done our homework and you are blessed with Gravity genius; enjoy! 😀👍
Feet together is feeling so comfortable now I try to keep my stance as narrow as possible feet apart. It will force the hips to turn without thinking about it.
