In Part 5, I noticed that with your draw shot using the driver, that you appear to be playing the ball just in front of center. This sort of scares me in the execution of thinking that the club can go under the ball and sky it… leaving a mark on the top of my driver. What are the key points to removing this as a possibility?

Part 1 contains the best explanation about the dynamic aspect of the strong and closed grip. It really resonated!

See if I got this right 🙂
1. I take an intermediate point 3 feet away from the ball in line with the end target.
2. I decide what ballflight I want
3. If draw I play the ball further back in the stance and swinging slightly right of the intermediate point
4. If fade I play the ball forward of center and open up the club face slightly and swing in a direction slightly left of the intermediate point.

All good?

So I don’t align my feet to the target but to the line I want to swing my club.

All the best and keep up the amazing videos coming from you and Savy!

Hi Shawn, I have had some great success following your video analysis of my swing a couple of weeks back. PB on 7i and driver distances today at the range.
One issue I keep having is hitting the driver high on the face. The ball goes straight but high like a wedge. I have been doing some practice today in the backyard with tees, just trying to hit the top. Any other suggestions?

Hi Shawn. Alvin here from Sunny Singapore. Just submitted my first video and watch all your suggestions. Haven’t had time to go the the range but have practised some of the suggestions at home without the ball. Have got an early game tmr and whilst I know I am probably not supposed to use all the suggestions immediately without going to the range first. However, it’s just a friendly game so who cares….am gonna do so.

Few points for all non believers in your coaching.

1) I signed up for eagle membership on the 20th of Feb 2020. Bettered my best score of 95 by 8 strokes few days later with an 87. Following day played a 92 which was still way better and played another game of 90. All better than my previous best.

2) Submitted my first video few days ago, practised Shawns’s suggestions today, my swing speed went from normal of about 95-97 to 102-104. This was measured using the Super sonic x10. It’s probably not a true representation of swing speed but it does show an increase. Pretty amazing.

Thanks a million Shawn.
