Yes, happy to do so! 😀👍
Goldie Locks and the 3 bears is a childhood story that all of us were read as very young as one of our bedtime stories; she would describe things as too hot, too cold and just right or too hard, too soft and just right, too high, too low…you get the picture…here is a youtube but they are not too good…😝

Shawn awesome video thank you so much for posting it. I ordered my grass whip and I’m going to receive it tomorrow. I ordered from your website and I have to say the person that you’re referring us to is absolutely fantastic super good customer service . Could not have been nicer. I’ll send you an email on my progress with the grass whip again thank you.

Shawn, just an offshoot question for you here. How much shorter do figure the ball carries with the ball bellow the feet on a substantial slope due to balance and range of motion issues??
As always this was a great video☺☺☺☺☺☺ Now everyone go to the pro shop page and buy yourself a grass whip. This is the best training aid I have ever worked with and I have been teaching for over forty years.
“The brain sees continuity”. That is the secret sauce. Also, there is something about that extra long ‘blade’ that you see with your eye and mind’s eye. It seems to drive how you subconsciously orient your hands, arms and body in the back swing. The brain knows that the task is to cut grass but it has to take into account that long leading edge. This is a strong visual. Nice. I need a grass whip.
I am a new subscriber and have many questions… Sorry.
Shawn, do you actually recommend to buy this grass cutter? Can I not just use an iron and will do the same thing? What is the difference?
The weight of the toe of the unit as well as the aerodynamic aspect of the club make it that you can swing much faster and release much more emphatically; one heck of a cool instrument!
Great seeing the Flightscope data. I’ve had trouble with pulling the ball right, being a leftie, when trying to draw. From the data and ball positioning, I need to be more than a “hair” back and AIM at the target not left of target……I think that’s what your saying for the draw?
Got it, Shawn, thanks.
One more question. Do I activate hand action through the hitting area, or hands are passive and allowing the clubhead to do swing freely? I am trying to get some extra distance.
This is a LET HAPPEN PROPOSITION, not a make sure or make happen one;
This is a visual for understanding purposes; you are litterally collecting against the face and releasing towards the target when you swing through the ballistic dandelion! 😝😀👍
Hi Shawn,
I can hear the sharp grass whip hitting the mat. Why isn’t this destroying your mat?
I have been using your “task approach” to hitting balls my last 2 rounds. This is so much more enjoyable than thinking about 20 swing thoughts. Thanks!
As I was quite alone at the golf course this evening, I played a 9 hole round where I did one or two swings with the grass whip prior to each full shot. I will do it again for sure! When I managed to feel the same weight shift with the golf club as I did with the grass whip, I hit excellent shots with heavy momentum! Oh yeah! For some reason I keep my balance much better with the grass whip, that with the golf clubs.. Maybe because there is no ball to hit? lol 🙂
As always… great video. When you say you have a one club to a one and a half club wind I’m assuming the wind is behind you . I can’t hit my irons that far so what I do is I take my highbred and throw it as high as I can in hopes the ball will land soft on the green . Is that the correct mind thought?
Linda
Hi Linda! Hybrids are clubs that hit the ball high in the first place so yes, I like that strategy; throwing the club on the trajectory you want the ball to peak on is a great visual and it tends to help you set up the ball position well;
For those of you who have not thrown the club yet; try to organise an early morning or late afternoon on the course when nobody is around and practice throwing low-high-medium heights to a specific direction; then see the “predict contact” video to put that throw together with the ball in the way; then you will understand how to instinctively do what Linda is saying.
The pin takes up quite a bit of the hole and instead of seeing the ball hit the pin and bounce out, you want to see the ball roll into the hole at the speed you want to have it go in; way better for your touch when you see it properly before you take the shot; Shawn
I received my grass whip. I have no problem cutting the grass, cutting through tees and under balls . Appears to my eye that the toe is touching the ground and not the entire whip.
Shawn, every time I watch your lessons, I learn something new and/or you remind me something that you teach previously. My daughter and I like this penny drill a lot. We can’t say enough thank you to you!
Hi Shawn I can feel the release of the club in both directions with the trail hand only and lead hand only but when I get both hands on the club I lose the feel of the release , where am I going wrong ? Cheers
Shawn, What was the key element in your swing that decreased the spin rate by 1000 rpm,,,,yielding a significant difference in distance for the same club head speed?
