After sending in my 1st video you identified my transition as my problem and already it is paying dividends. I rewatched all of the videos you advised,especially best downswing weight shift, which may be your “Rosetta Stone”. I finally felt what it feels like to sling the club towards the target without my manipulating it. I also revisited this series. In the takeaway are you advocating the old school handle 1st takeaway or just as a drill. It does seem to help my extension. Thank you for your expert response.
Right on Joe!
When you are here, you are family! 😀👍
Sorry bout the double post. My Android literacy is on par with my swing literacy.
In the impact segment and I’ll describe my question from viewing the grass cutter portion. When your hands have reached your lead leg, the blade of the grass cutter is back at your trail leg, there is dramatic shaft lean.
How can your arms be swinging freely at high speed when at impact the hands have barely moved and the shaft lean has nearly disappesred? My trying to maintain shaft lean has caused me to hit the ball fat!
Do you EVER hear me talk about shaft lean??? This is not where the focus needs to be;
Be where you are going to get shaft lean NATURALLY. Throwing the club at the target will do that for you;
Did you film your swing throwing the club??
See “predict contact” video on premium so you can stay with throwing to the target;
Shawn

Hi Shawn, In your ball position video you are demonstrating an open stance for both a fade and draw. In many of your other videos you align your feet straight at the target for a draw. Can you please clarify the proper stance for a draw? Many thanks!
Not really; camera angles lie sometimes;
For right hander; Fade you aim left of target and swing left of target
Draw you aim at target and swing right of target
Each has their respective ball positions…
Thanks for the clarication. I have been following your technique for my last 3 rounds and my contact has really improved. I am much more confident over the ball. I will keep watching!
