Just finished #1. This is going to be a great off season. Looking forward to more homework!
accidentally rated this 3 stars. should be 5
Right on! This is the season to make the improvements, then performance can come naturally!
Shawn,
I am two plus weeks into your video teaching, which has really refocused me.
I dont fully understand the Door Frame concepts. I get body position to hammer a nail.
Is the idea that the torso stays centered in the frame, not swaying either right or left, only turning and getting out of the way?
Your amswer will likely clarify things.
Best,
Charlie
Excellent series of videos. Will need to revisit them regularly.
Thank you and yes, very proud of these! 👍😀
Hi Shawn,
Just for clarification..if I use a strong left hand grip with 2 or 3 knuckles, should I still close the face at address…or is this something I have to experiment with to find what works for me to throw it to the target.
My other issue is I can use your method to fade a driver or iron easily. However, I just can’t seem to get the draw going even though I close the face and play a little back.
Love your videos !
Elio
Hi Elio! The key is to stay all the way through the tip of the tee into a nice full release towards the direction you want to start the ball and then SEE HOW THE BALL FLIES; then make an adjustment after you see 3 shots with the same pattern!
Shawn,
My approach to an uphill shot is to play the ball in the “normal” position away from me, and then choke up on the club. Looks like your approach is to keep the same grip on the club, but to play the ball farther away from the body. Can you comment please?
Thanks.
Bob
Here is my question to you: what is the task? Collecting the ball from where it is and delivering it to where you want it to go with the flight plan chosen. Best way to do this is to cut grass in that direction with a solid velocity and low effort. When I personnaly grip down, I feel a loss of feel in my momentum and for me, this is more disruptive to my swing than the lie.
Thanks Shawn. I’d always felt that choking down gave me “greater control” of the club face. I’m learning it actually enabled me to “manipulate” the club face and, rather, I’m better off allowing gravity and momentum to complete the task.
Bob
Shawn,
I’d like your opinion of putting while looking at the hole. It seems that if I trust my line and let
momentum and gravity take over control of the stroke- then putting while looking at the hole is just
the ticket! Have you tried this method? Any views on this method?
Thanks.
Bob
Very sound way to go!! See one of my oldies but goodies!

Hi Shawn
Absolutely brilliant been a fan since I started playing 6 months ago . Payed a fortune in lessons with a local pro that got me manipulating everything and getting nowhere fast . Ditched him and started to watch your videos again . Massive improvement instantly . Keep up the good work
Steve
Awesome Steve; thank you for your valuable feedback and let’s show the world of golf what they have been missing!
Greetings, Shawn,
Is the arm motion at the 3:00 minute mark of Part 19 the exact same motion you would make in a normal golf swing?
Thanks in advance,
Bull
Hey Bull! Yes, in essence, this is the way the anatomy will deliver; where you will see fluctuations is in the way the release happens depending on whether you are hitting a high fade vs a low draw; or when you black out because you lost your focus or got distracted by a concern for imperfect movement…😝😜
Shawn
In Part 1 you discuss closing the clubface and appear to regrip. My question is should we be regripping after shutting the face before the takeaway?
Sorry for the duplicate, I did not see it show up so I added it again 🙂
In part one when you are talking about shutting the club face or open it, do you recommend regripping once you shut or slightly open the face? I have noticed my draw stays pretty straight and realize I am gripping then shutting the face without regripping. I tried what you are talking about in a mirror and it only works when I regrip.
Exactly; you must re-grip; if you don’t you have not changed a thing!
After you regrip, do you rotate your wrists and address the ball with a square clubface or do you address the ball with the clubface aimed to the left? Thanks!
You can do either-or a bit of both; does mot matter because when you whip through to the target ot all changes!
I’m a new member. I thought this teaching way, videos where the topic in broken down into
Smaller detailed formats was a great way to learn. After a couple weeks of review I’m am sure this is going to be a great way to improve with the insight and in depth explanations of the swing adapted by Mr. Clement and great golfers he has used to define the commonality of the legends.
Tobag
You bet Tobag! This series is super and we will be making a great one to follow along this winter as well!
Shawn
Hi Shawn. Love the new website and happy I now get e mail with new videos. A suggestion. Can you create a detailed index of all the videos with an outline line of content so as to make it easier to re visit stuff. Perhaps number the videos? This could be on the site or e mailed to members if easier
Thank you Steve; will be doing something about that for sure!
The other improvement that can be done, is a tab where you have responded to any subscriber question. I learned a lot from questions posted other subscriber, so knowing where questions are posted/or where you have responded, will help us understand concepts better. There is no way to search the current discussion/open questions.
It is actually on my agenda for Friday with Matt!
Just added this feature: https://wisdomingolfpremium.com/comments/ – it can be accessed from the MEMBER HOME page.
Looks like my off-season training is sorted! Time to get refocused! Great content as always Shawn!!
Thank you Dan!
We are going to do something for sure!
