Hi Shawn, what club/loft are you using and would suggest for the first 70 yard shots from the fairway? What about at 50 yards from the fairway? Thanks, Blake.

Thank you Shawn, I was taught backswing finish positions, quarter, half and so on for distance control. I can see it is much better to use feel with target always in mind. The golf instruction world needs to get away from static club positions.
Love your work

Shawn, when you say `Trap the ball` do you mean keep your hands forward in order to de-loft the club?

chipcarst@gmail.com

Did you choke down on your 9 iron as well as swing at a slightly slower pace than a full 9 iron?

joe@joedixon.com

Shawn, you have more talent and a better touch than I will ever have. I would have chosen a lower loft club, perhaps 5 iron, and land short of the green and try to roll on. Am I crazy?

joe@joedixon.com

Thanks. God to know I’m not crazy. Maybe my chipper, which is more or less an 8-iron.
