Hi Shawn, (new member here) for a fade at 36:18 your feet look like they are aligned to the left of the red flag. In your comments to other replies, you state your feet are aligned to the end target (which to me means where you want the ball to finish). So I am confused on where to align my feet. I recognize it may not be about feet placement per say as it is about where you want the momentum to go. So in terms of momentum you say you want to align momentum with the direction of where you want the ball to go (which for me is where you want the ball to start) . So am I am I aligning my feet so momentum goes to where I want the ball to starts or ends.

Hi Shawn,
I can’t tell you how much I love your content, it’s so refreshing and really makes this game feel attainable!
That being said, I have a heck of a time feeling the draw. (I am a fader by nature).

When setting up for a draw (using an iron), I am currently aligning my stance with my end destination target. So, in your video, I would align my feet at the tree between the flags. I would then “get behind the ball” after moving it slightly back of center. This should make me feel like my club face is pointing toward the white flag to the right of the tree. Is this correct so far? If so, when I swing, am I feeling like I release to white flag? (when I try to feel this release, I generally end up shanking mightily. I think I am “pushing” my arms out to try and “release to the right”.) Do you have any great videos for specifically the draw takeaway and swing through?

P.S. If my above setup is correct, then the movie editors highlighted the white flag instead of the tree during your draw setup. (your feet are pointing to the tree, not the white flag).

Thanks again for all of your effort, the wisdom you share is just so great!

This comment was supposed to be on a different vieo…I have no idea why this tied to this video. It’s supposed to be WIG 1.0 video 3

I don’t know what just happened, but my focus sucks! this comment is on the correct video…ugh…trying to work and learn (not a great “setup”) 😉

When playing a fade iron shot, with the ball slightly forward of center, and club face less closed, is your stance open to the intermediate target (momentum of the swing arc)? I also assume your shoulders are not behind and to the right as with a draw, correct?

Shawn
For a practise swing to be effective ( with iron) should you take a divot so as to replicate the real swing that follows ?
Thanks
Tim
