Right on Kevin! So glad you are enjoying the content; we have an amazing machine that already works! 😀👍
I feel like I can do these dynamic drills well. My body flows and everything is comfortable. Do you have a video for people like me who are “ball bound”? As soon as I put a ball down, even trying to replicate all these feelings, I get stuck and my body turn always stops at the ball. I simply can’t overcome that.
YOU BET! ABSOLUTELY!
See the “stick your finish despite the ball series”!!
This was tough drill to do 😅 First my divots were everywhere. When i was able use more momentun and getting out off the way, they started to line up 👍😯🙂
Nice! This is such a good drill!!😀👍🫶
Now that I fully grasp what out of the way REALLY feels like I think it’s the single best piece of golf instruction in the history of the game. It puts everything you need to do on autopilot. Tempo, balance, rhythm, full turn, full finish, natural hinge. It’s got it all!
Shawn is it suitable to just play w the task of get out of the way + chest to target? While I’m grooving this in I find if i try cut grass / dandelion stems I start to default to cheating it with the arms a little.
When you just go with the feel of out of the way, and you have great contact, don’t worry about the task.
This is good to know since I had a similar question to Matthew’s. I have a disconnect in combining getting out of the way with a task since i would never think or focus on getting out of the way if i were to throw a club, cut grass or slash a sword.
Some players have developed their games around themes of “when I do this, I get great contact” and the contact issue is very much subconscious; this is Matthew’s case. For a lot of us, having a simple task delivered with momentum and freedom is what puts the mind at ease and stops it from getting into the “make sure” and “be careful” mode which impedes the ability to deliver with ease.
