Great video Shawn. First off. I’m a new suscriber, I’ve been devouring your Premium videos over the past 2 months, but have deeply syudied your videos in the past half year. It’s made such difference (I have gone from shooting 90+ to 80s). Thank you so much and keep doing what you’re doing.

Back to the video. I’ve tried both lead hand and trail hand release. I have a very dominant trail hand (right) and have decided to go with this. What seems to work well is the pull through to release. I got it from your Push or Pull in the golf swing YouTube video. Contact is great. Just have difficulty controlling the direction a bit even if I do my best to swing to target. Do you have anything on pulling the club through on the Premium channel or do you plan to? It was night and day for me and the missing piece. Any help would be great. All the best, Richard from Budapest.

Hi Shawn, great video! I noticed in this drill that it is very important for me to concentrate on my weight shifting to my back heel, and then transferring weight to the front with trail leg shifting from inside so that I can get the feel of trail elbow coming from the inside going out. I have a tendency to transfer wight when I shift to the front back foot instead of from the inside back heel – which causes me to get stuck and pull ball and lose power. Hope that makes sense. And this drill helps that were the lead arm release doesn’t focus on that.

Hey Shawn, I have been giving the one arm swings a try. Around 8.30 you mention keeping your elbow tucked at address, when you backswing the elbow stays tucked right? Cheers

I will give it a look now, thanks 😉

8:20 to 8:30 is golden and is one of my faults. I find that trail elbow gets lazy and ends up to the side of my trail hip . I hit my best shots when I drive it and get it in front. This premium channel rocks.
Thank yinz
