So just finished the senior series. I have always heard that ball placement should be roughly off the logo of my shirt. It appears you are playing, say, the 7 or 6 iron more in the center of your stance- halfway between the heels. Am I seeing that right? Also if you want to hit it higher, don’t you have to move the ball forward?

Excellent and extremely helpful! Never mind doing it-it is great to watch it being done by the Pro! Anyway-Shawn I can’t unfortunately locate the Driver nugget vids you were recommending. Can you help please? Regards Ian

Thank you very much Shawn!

Shawn, which videos explain in more detail about set up and club face. I understand the whole idea about hitting the golf ball with the same action as hitting a hammer or swinging a tennis racket. But, when I lower my shoulder, do I adjust the club face? I think I saw you address this on one of the videos, but still need to fine tune this.

Shawn Clement

Hi Fred! See “the goldie locks series” and the “draw fine tuning” and “fade fine tuning” videos! 😀👍

Hello Shawn. Yesterday you answered a comment I made on your YouTube channel and suggested I start by watching the senior’s series. I did just that and I just got back from the driving range. Took me a few balls to get the hang of it but to my very great surprise and pleasure, I was hitting all my clubs further and with a smoother and easier swing than I ever managed before. Hard to tell for sure on the driving range, but it looked like I was getting an extra 15 to 20 yards carry on most shots. I will definitely watch the other videos you recommended and keep working at it. I have to get set up to film my swing so I can send it to you for analysis. Thank you for your great work. Thank you to Sav and Mu also. You guys make an awesome team.😎🏌️‍♂️⛳️

After going through the alinement looking at the shot I want and the potition of the ball all is good, but when I play the shot to make sure every thing is correct I unintentionally slow the swing down.Result high wide right. Practice swing is fine but put the ball there disaster. Is there acure?

Shawn Clement

Hi David! Haha, of course! It is called abandonment of control! See “lead hand release” and “trail hand release” and then “release fine tuning” then you must learn draws and fades and you want to start with the draw so see the “working the ball” video and then see “draw fine tuning”
when you try to “make sure” your brain freezes the body and the swing is sabotaged; it’s good for a dentist who needs to stay still when drilling a tooth but for golf it is like a swing of an axe, or a baseball bat! You don’t ever make sure when doing those activities. So see “using the weight in your swing-axe drill with savy” to deliver the draw shot, you will love the freedom and the compression!
