The video list you sent is great, I’m already seeing improvement in my swing. I’m a bit confused with these swing feelings. You say we should be feeling the release at 4 and 8 (after swinging through vertical) but when you’re demonstrating, it’s clear that you’re really starting to put force into the swing at 8 and 4, that is, well before vertical rather than after. When I do that, the release is at 6. I know “feel isn’t real” but it seems like I’m missing something important.
Hi Theodore! So glad you are enjoying the content! Have you seen the “kinetic chain facilitation and engagement series”? When you combine what you are saying to a specific task, (video#6 is my favourite and I use this every day in my 1-1 teachings here at the club) things come into focus much better; then you can place your awareness on what that feels like to you. Walking drill, while delivering divots or grass clippings into the direction of flight with pure momentum, momentum leads to kinetic chain engagement and then the swing explodes into the direction of flight and the fireworks begin.
