Hi Shawn – these “basic” videos are always the ones that click for me. Unrelated question – how do I find the premium version of “best video on tilt and side bend”. Looking forward to seeing the driver version.
Hi Edmund! See the list of videos by date and or search Tilt and Turn and swivel in the search box
Shawn I know this seems like a silly question but I can never tell on the videos. After you pick your target and your intermediate point. Are you lining up to the target or the intermediate point?
Not silly at all! You will see in the original “working the ball” that I line up the feet parallel to the end target with draw and to the beginning of the flight plan with the fade. Those lines get “blurred”, pardon the pun, as this is the title of an important video called “Blur of club” and the “arc-blur unstoppable momentum series” which lines up the “blur” of the swing’s natural arc to the direction through the ball and intermediate point, and when you predict the ball position and club face and distance to ball to that, you have a stance line that can be closer to the “diagonal stance series”. It is truly fascinating the glass ceilings we are braking when we are simply staying open to what our machine wants to do and how it wants to set up to the flight plan we establish for it to follow. Pinocchio is really and truly free here! 😎. See what works for you!
George Knudsen said, that the only thing, that does not move in his golf swing, is the left big toe. That thought might be helpful to some for this drill.
Interesting; however not a point of focus. Example: A student gets good at throwing the club; they get good at predicting that the ball is in the way of the throw going towards the direction of the flight plan; they then notice that their weight shift has never felt so good and they begin to get distracted by that, “making sure” they keep shifting the weight in that manner so they don’t lose it like all the other times they lost their swing. Their focus on their task of throwing goes away and therefore the swing goes away.
TASK TRUMPS EVERYTHING. GET AWESOME WITH THE TASK DELIVERY. 😝😀
Yes, ‚toe’ along the lines of ‚suction cup‘ or ‚immediacy of the swivel‘ and ‚staying very close to the lead side‘ only. Once you swing, it is task only; I understand that as being the core of your teaching. In my opinion all of us have the natural ability to play golf correctly to begin with.
Shawn, I have a tendency to injure left ribbs at least twice a year. Is this a result of lower body not turning out of the way?
Are you a righty or a lefty?
I am right handed
1-strain level on a scale of 1/10 should stay at 3 or 4 Max to produce levels of velocity and compression of 7 to 8 of ten.
2-to achieve this, see our “senior series” where the emphasis is on removing all restrictions on the swing!
Great video! Can’t wait to get out in the range and give it a try.
