Sam bailey

Hi Shawn thank you for the videos as well as all your effort! I am very happy to have found this website. I think you chose the perfect name. It is all great wisdom. It is really helpful to see the two swings in this video, yours that is polished another that will be soon. Like you told me in my two swing analysis feed files I have been throwing the club and I have been working on making the fastest part of my swing happen toward the target and trying to just let the weight of my arms move the club through while I get my body out of the way. Even when feel like I am accomplishing this best I do feel like I have to lock in to parallel my left shoulder of my lead arm so don’t ground the club. I am not sure it that is the right way to describe it? As you apply the goldilocks practice over the top, then topped and then flush how do you keep the bottom at address the bottom consistent? Does it come from the legs or the shoulders and back? both or neither?

Shawn Clement

Hi Sam! I do appreciate where you are coming from; this is a learned art from the brain and proprioception (finding its place in space) which it is really good at. The conscious mind is really good at distracting it with “be carefuls” and “watch outs”. The goldielocks is an accelerated way to both sharpen the proprioception and to calm the “frady cat” mind. It comes from the whole body reacting to the weight of the arm swing. See “using the weight in your swing, axe drill with Savy”, the “turbo charge the lead hand release” and “turbo charge the trail hand release” and the “kinetic chain engagement series”

Shawn Clement

Hi Bill! Go to the list of videos by date and go to the bottom and see the grip videos right handed; enjoy!
