Shawn,
I have a comment and a question please.
My comment is regarding the lighting on videos done in the covered range in Montreal…they are too dark to see all we need to see…like your face! ๐
My question comes from comments yesterday on the Senior US Open broadcast. Zinger and Faxson made a point of showing the “low” hands of the leaders and how that could be why they drove the ball so we’ll compared to amateurs who have a less acute angle between the shaft and forearms at address. It seems like the important thing is the relationship between the shaft and forearms at impact. Thoughts?
Thanks for all you do!

Shawn, earlier you asked for suggestions on videos. How about having one on creating more speed with the club? It could be about the proper way to do it with some examples and also some examples on the incorrect way to do it.
I am actually excited to show this video to my wife. We were talking on course the other day about how we can make smooth flowing effortless release practice swings, and then suddenly try to “hit” the ball when the actual shot comes. My wife’s practice swings are so good (they actually make me jealous) I told her she could break 100 easy if she just swung the same way after she addressed the ball. Donna’s swing here in this video is smooth and looks totally effortless. Absolutely terrific !! What a great example to show my wife. (And I need to watch it a few more times myself !!) As far as this fitting, I actually thought even the sound of her strikes with the 200’s were more solid than the others.
Yes, exactly; the sound was very nice!
Get that prediction process going with your wife; get a nice task going and have her โpredictโ what would happen to the ball if she repeated the same feel as in her prectice task…
Will do Shawn. She has seen the results when she just “gives it gravity”. Her natural swing is way better than mine. I have to be careful not to be the overbearing husband. I tend to try and give too much advice. I might want it more for her than she wants it for herself because I see how good it could be. That is why I am going to show her this video. A video worth a thousand words! It certainly looks like Donna can check every box on a R.I.B.S. assessment.
It might just be my perception of the “filmed” event sequence, but it appeared as if Donna was “steered” in to the I200’s very quickly, and never did really find her comfortable draw stock swing???
Perception yes; the I-200โs were big time the better clubs for her!
