Hi Shawn,
Im just about done with your premium sessions, everything has really helped me make better contact with the ball. The one issue Im still having is getting consistent/long distance with my clubs. for example, my 7i is still only going about 150y, 4i 170, driver 160-200y.
Not sure exactly what Im still doing wrong, but even when I pure the ball and it goes perfectly straight i’m still not getting those distances you are with just swinging so easy.
(ive tried slowing my swing down as well, but that didnt seem to help).

Any thoughts???

(ps, my biggest mis-hit front the start, and to this day is chunking the ball. I even tried standing on my left leg and I still have issues with it, haha)

There is 30 yards difference between AT THE BALL vs THROUGH THE BALL AND AT THE TARGET. If you are hitting fat, you are delivering at the ball. You are not aware that you are pushing the club down to meet the ball. So question 1, what is the last thing to go through your mind when you are ready to hit the shot?

See “Target confirmation series” and “stick your finish despite the ball series” as well as the “pre-motor cortex series” If you are still hitting fat after that, send me some swing clips please. Face on and down the line 7 iron will be fine.

Thanks Shawn,
I’d say my one swing thought I have right once i’m at the top of my backswing is to start the downswing by SQUATING TOWARDS THE “DIVOT” area in front of the ball. This usually allows me to hit the ball well, but if my timing/tempo is off and I rush down with my arms, i will fat it. Ill watch those videos and if its still an issue, Ill send you a video.

Shawn, considering the curved swing path along the ground of the driver and also the ball position forward in the stance for a driver, wouldn’t this cause the driver clubhead to be traveling upward as well as left of the target line by the time the clubhead reaches the forward driver ball position causing either shots pulled left or a slice depending on the clubface/grip relationship? I didn’t see this situation addressed when trying to hit straight drives. Is there something I am missing?

Shawn, I just received a notification from AVG my internet security software that it was terminating my connection to the Wisdom in Golf Premium channel because it is infected with Script:SNH-gen (Trj). Can you shed any light on this issue?

Shaun, I can’t figure out how to reconcile the perpetual motion drill with your swing which is slow to the top, pause, then faster than the backswing coming down. I love the feeling of the rhythm of perpetual motion but I have trouble with slow, pause, faster on the downswing? Savy does not appear to pause at the top. Please explain.

Different purposes! What are you trying to do-accomplish? Savy, like everyone, is evolving at her pace…

OK, I’m trying to hit a crisp and powerful full shot. What is the purpose of perpetual motion? What is the purpose of a slow backswing, pause and a faster downswing?

Is the purpose of perpetual motion to see the blur? Any other purpose?

2 sets of videos for these important core concepts:
-perpetual motion drill series
-using the weight in your swing-axe drill with Savy
both series are “MEGA IMPORTANT”
