My divots frequently are angled to the left. I am right handed. Are my hands releasing too soon? I love the two camera angles you frequently use. when the camera is behind you, it gives the appearance that your backswing is very “vertical” or with a lot of height. Your downswing is so effortless, but your distances are long.

Shawn Clement

Hey Tom! See “blur of club” and the “arc blur unstoppable momentum series” as well as the “alignment reload” videos. What you are experiencing is super common in human being trying to go sideways! 😝😝

Tom Rodgers

As always, thank you for the reply! This is the best resource in the world, as far as I am concerned! Retired now down in Wilmington NC and getting to play once a week.

Shawn Clement

Awesome! We will be coming down to Charlotte in the Spring! Will be getting emails out for you guys to let you know when and confirm where!

Thanks for sharing. I started off with your method closed face neutral grip. Worked very well but the ball did not go very far. (By that time I had not yet figured out the snap release. Lol). So I tried The Savanna swing – being a lady and all. Seems her grip and set up is very difficult for me to master. So today I went back to swing more like you with not such a strong grip. Worked so well when I managed to focus on the release ”out there” thanks for all your videos – eventually it starts to click – one after the other. Blur of the club and goldie locks have become second nature.
BTW how do I know if I am left of right dominant – not eyes – that I know) I mean swingwise and if that has anything to do with how I should approach the golfshot.

Barbro Nilsson

Sorry missinterpretation.

I am so guilty of what Pat does. I just ran down stairs and play with getting my hands through before the hinge releases. Wow, if I can do this, it is going to change my swing significantly. Thanks! And thanks to Pat!

Thank you for the swing analysis. I notice I will have good practice swings and when I put a ball down I do default to the ball. In my mind I know what to do but I have difficulty executing. I will take what you mentioned to the driving range and practice to improve. Thanks again.

Shawn Clement

Let us know how you do Pat! The 4 first videos of the latest off season training series really do a great job at getting the feel and In your next video analysis, I would like you to send me the same view but instead of a golf ball in the way, have just a tee in the ground that you are cutting through.

I think this an area I need to work on is my release on loner clubs. Excellent video. For some reason, my brain might think I will miss the ball with the longer clubs. I looked at video of my swing and I do this best with my short irons and worst with driver!!!

Shawn Clement

See the “Throwing series” where we throw all different lengths of objects; Driver is like a hammer throw in track and field and mid to long irons like an upside down javelin throw. Use the “blur of club” to confirm where the club is passing when you throw like in the”predict contact” and the “goldie locks series” and then apply with “stick your finish despite the ball” series.
