What are the launch monitor numbers with this drill vs regular swing?

Hey Sam! The jackknife drill is pretty cool!
we have always said that “Through the ball” is average longer than “at the ball” by 30 yards. If this gets you through and especially tests your grip like no other, then you will see some interesting numbers! Shawn

shawn , i ve had a problem with push slicing my driver all my life. but through ur teaching have got it down to ,a gentle fade, but now i m trying to do a set up for a draw but can t seem to get anything but a straight shot ive tried playing ball back in middle of stance plus closing the club face way up but to no avail.once in while a will get a duck hook but nothing in the way of a normal shot. Suggestions????

The OVERWHELMING SHOT SHAPE ON TOUR FOR THE DRIVER IS FADE; if you hit draw, you need to tee it very high and play the high draw and this is not for everyone; you simply don’t have enough loft to do the draw reliably with the driver; just watch the 10th tee at Augusta, 95% of the pros use the 3 wood there; much easier to draw the 3 wood…

Hi Shawn, is the purpose of the pre-deployment acid test to see if the distance to ball is correct and confirmation that you’ll be hitting the center of the club face? When actually swinging, all this should happen naturally without me doing anything because of gravity?

Hi Coach,

The season has been fantastic! All facets of my game have been great. I ‘lost’ my driver for about six weeks. I remembered this drill and started inserting it into my routine at the range and the last three weeks have been the best driving weeks of year. I even ‘acid’ test when I’m playing a round. I’ve been doing the drill with just the tees in my backyard 2-3 times a week. Can’t thank you enough!
