Hey Shawn, if I try to add speed or swing faster with the driver I am no longer able to track a nice arc. Only when i swing it slowly. How do I add speed and still track a nice arc with a long club like the driver?
Oh yes! Please see “pumping up the swing volume” and “the throwing series hammer throw driver” and also see “snap release polish”
Hi shawn, when im in my stance i feel like i’m to low and bending forward to much but i can honestly say i hit threw the ball great sometimes. does this mean im standing up to quick threw the swing motion??
Hi Adrian! Did you take your posture on video or take a picture of it? This is where feel and real ARE HUGELY DIFFERENT.
I noticed you were setting up at the low point and not the ball in your driver examples in this video which was 3-4” behind the ball. You probably explain this in future videos but I’m going chronologically…the driver is my least comfortable club…probably because I try to manipulate it.
I am sure you watched a few more driver videos like “great driver nugget” and the “driver” and “driver part 2” videos as well as other videos such as the “spinning” series with Driver; how are you doing with it now?
Sean, do you realize that you bend you knees (dip) just before you swing? Is this just a quirk for you?
Anthony
Yes! I am getting ready to HEAVE MY AXE AND GATHER INTO THE BACKSWING!! See “sledge hammer golf shawn clement”
Ok Shawn, if i understand well, your are saying let the club release, meaning there is no leading or trailing hand preference. Do I translate that right? Does it mean we just let the club go, and do not try to either pull with the leading hand or push with the trailing one? We just let go, execute the movement and the club does the rest. Did I get that right or do I need to adjust further? Thanks!
Exactly!! Focus on task and let the brain decide what is best to perform it! 😀👍
