Hey Shawn, i am finding with my longer clubs (woods and hybrids) at times I keep my weight on my back foot when making contact. Any tips for getting the weight forward more on the longer clubs at impact?

I set up some Skis of my own and noticed that my front hip was very tight in the follow through. Thus, restricting arc through. Do you have any suggestions on how to loosen up that hip or should I just start doing some stretches on my own?
To get to a full finish, you will need to break out of the skis once the release occurs and let the release pull you up into a stacked finish. See “stick your finish despite the ball” series.
It’s actually fine, there have been some updates with apple if you are watching on the phone, the screen can come in off set and you need to move it until you see the bottom right corner. This is what I had to do with my Ipad and no problem, found the full screen button and good to go.
Hi Shawn, I emailed you regarding the same thing Mark Sobel commented on. There is an improvement. Still no fullscreen on my computer. The video now takes up more of the screen. But still no fullscreen icon. A picture-in-picture icon is usually where the fullscreen icon is.

Yes, huge huh? Takes the uncomfortable torque out of the arms and gives you the correct amount of tilt and then all that is left is tweak the club face for the shot.

We are simply finding new ways to bring you the content through our everyday lessons; this is why I would never become a full time youtube guy because I would loose out on the lessons I need to learn to bring you these gold nuggets! Savy tilts too, we have always had this component. Sav’s grip used to be neutral when younger and she would have slappy fades like so many golfers with neutral grips. We just cranked it until it got draws and we created a monster! 😝
Shawn, my glove proves I’m guilty of the bird grip…heel and thumb holes on everyone…my problem swinging with the snug grip is TENSION that creeps up from my hands into my forearms and triceps and shoulders…hello hooks and pushes….how can I get the freedom and speed I used to feel with soft hands?
Hi Michael! Secure grip will stop at the forearms; leaving the shoulder sockets free to swing. See “backswing levitation” and “unstoppable momentum series”

I’ve been working with the axe drill, and I have to say it’s been transformational. For the first time, I’m hitting the ball solid and crisp, with a feel I’ve never experienced before. The arm-club unit feels stable and well-locked, and the top of the backswing is steeper and more connected, though it feels like a three-quarter swing—which I really like.
However, when I transition to my regular golf swing, I struggle to replicate that same top position. My swing gets flatter at the top, and the hinge becomes excessive. I’ve always had trouble with the takeaway and tend to cock the wrists early, which throws off the path.
Do you have any drills or video recommendations that could help me progressively transition from the axe drill into a full, flowing swing—while keeping that same feel and structure from the axe drill?

Hey Shawn been recording my backswing and noticed I have a good hip turn but then don’t tend to get a good shoulder turn and it limits my depth. I have to really force myself to think about shoulder turn to change it. Any drills or tips to help getting a consistent full shoulder turn?
Hey Frank! See alignment reset; your eyes are playing tricks on you and you feel like you are going to block it right if you finish the backswing. Stay with the blur of club through the intermediate point. Feel like you have adequate momentum to whip the snot out of it in the direction you want to start the ball with ease!
Hi Shawn, love your videos. Why might it be that I can never hit a draw? A great shot from me goes straight or a slight fade. Not so good shot does a cut, specially with longer clubs. If I try too hard with closing the club face and keeping the ball back of center too much and direction of swing to the right of Target, mostly the shot goes haywire. Is there a mental model that can help with getting a draw? Thanks
Hi Asad! Before anything, make sure you see “alignment seload” and “alignment reset” videos; your eyes are constantly playing tricks on you from the side and you need to understand what to look for. Then, Another great way to hit the draw is with the “one leg drill” video and then go to the “diagonal stance series” and the draw video there. Enjoy!
