Your teaching method has helped me with learning other athletic endeavours. Thank you 🙏
Can you explain what you mean by getting deeper into the strike, please?
Hi andrew! See the “2 tee drill perpetual motion” and “unstoppable momentum series divots”; for a great strike, the club needs to stay along the ground for a while!
Shawn, learning a lot when you teach Munashe. At about 2:50 in this video when you changed that straight trail arm into a trebuchet I saw my problem. When you corrected that wrist, everything clicked. I’m more than half the size of Mu and most likely 3 times his age, but at the range, today I found the same results. Binging on trail hand/lead hand stuff, now. And… this worked for my driver, fairway and hybrids. What a difference. Only times I missed was when I rushed that set at the top and didn’t “turbo” through to the target. Patience needed. Best thing I did was take up your invitation to join. I may have to upgrade my membership, because your smiling-face picture has greeted me a few time in video searches. Savannah is an inspiration, too. Enjoy seeing you guys trying to keep up with her! ;>)
Awesome comment and feedback man! Thank you for chiming in and sharing your experiences; really looking forward to hearing about your next benchmark! 👌💪👍😀
How do I know which is my dominant hand and how does that affect my grip
Hey Brian! The hand you throw and write with and the leg you kick with.
and that does mot have any bearing on your grip; you simply deliver a nice throw with momentum in the direction you want to start the ball and see how it flies; if you like what you see, your grip is good; if not, adjust the face until you see the flight you are looking for or get really good at the “release” (see all the release videos) or a bit of both. There is nothing else (that’s the good news…😝)
I write with my left hand, eat with my left, but throw and kick with my right 🙂
This is close to Mu! The key is to see which side engages the kinetic chain the best; if you played tennis, Mu plays right handed but has a better backhand, so he plays golf left handed and it is working out pretty good so far! 😝
I’m trail hand dominant, but when I fully sword release (with a grip showing 2-3 lead hand knuckles), i often get severe toe hooks.
When I flex the trail wrist/hand down the target line only with both arms straight, the hooks disappear, but so does some distance.
Thoughts??
Hmm; sounds like a lot of manipulating; when you refresh “target confirmation series” let me know what you need to focus on to that side of the ball-target side-to get the desired ball flight. You do not want to be stuck fidgeting in the impact area…
