Great video shawn. Can you clarify where we aim the club face for the draw or the fade?

If I’m playing a fade and i align myself to where I want the ball to start, is my club face supposed to be square to the target? Or square to where I am aligned?

For a draw, I align myself to where I want the ball to end, play the ball behind center, get behind the ball and swing/release towards where i want the ball to start – but is my club face at address squared up to the target? Or to the path where I want the ball to start?

Thanks!

Chris Kolnicky

Hi Shawn,
From the starting position It looks like you place the clubhead about a half an inch to an inch behind the ball when hitting a fade. Is that correct?

I have trouble hitting a fade. It either goes straight where I aim or I double cross.
When I double cross I guess I’m defaulting to the ball instead of the target.

Hi Shawn. I would love you to produce this exact same video content of working the ball showing grip. Club face how far closed The arc on the ground and flight scope etc but show us with the driver only?

I think I heard you mention in another video that pitch shots should be draws. If so, why is that? My stock shot is a fade, but can draw with pretty good consistency. Wondering if I should convert those wedge shots to a draw.

Hi Shawn, watching you hit stingers at The Florida Club was a lot of fun.

Do you have any rules of thumb for hitting more extreme shots? That is, if Im trying to hit a big fade or hook do I just open or close the face and move the ball more forward or back? Do I need to club up or down a few clubs? Id think this could only be done to a small degree.

Sometimes hitting traditional shots on the range gets a little boring, maybe one day we can get a video on hitting the slice and hook.

Anyway, love the content, keep it up!
