Hi Shawn – I love the second technique that you demonstrated by using the putting grip with the toe of the club, when the ball is sitting on the tall grass around the green. Is it also possible to use this same technique with a less lofted club as a bump-and-run a little further off the green (where you might need a bit more roll out)?
Yessir! You can use any club you want around the greens!! All you need is where you want to land the ball and goldie locks! 😀👍
Hi Shawn,
I am hitting balls into a net using a Garmin g80 what should I be concentrating on the carry or the roll out?
I always look at the carry when hitting shots on the GC Quad; I would do the same with your unit; Shawn
Do you feel a connection between the triceps and ribcage throughout the putting stroke. If so is the stroke controlled from abdominal region ?
No control! The weight of the arms and putter are being used to roll the ball in the direction you want to start the putt. The CNS (Central Nervous System) works at it’s very best when reacting to external factors and not manipulating or fighting against the flow or grain.
I am a terrible putter.
Thank you
Go get a 6 pound sledge hammer and putt with that for a while; see my youtube video on that called “take a sledge hammer to your short game shawn clement”
I often dub long putts by hitting the ground first. Very embarrassing. I suspect it’s because my left hand low grip promotes a downswing. Thoughts?
You want to make sure the putter-arm unit is hanging from the shoulder sockets; ABOVE THE GROUND SLIGHTLY. As you swing back and through without stopping, it should feel as if you cannot brush the ground. Problem solved!😀👍
Hmmm; not sure what you mean? Gate drill??
