Hi Shawn. I have always aimed straight at the flag. Never thought of bringing it in with a fade or draw.
Have always found if I tried to hit a draw it is always better contact. My natural shots been a fade but I find it tougher to hit a fade at will, usually it will be a pull or a weak shot going right. One thing after seeing so many videos by you, my ball position has always been front of center and 5 irons or FWs almost near front heel. I now see much better ball contact with my fairway woods as well as irons since I have taken the ball position back towards center.
yes; build the draw and then come back to the fade and it will be much more powerful!
Hi Shawn I got a lot from this video but I find I don’t get much lag (at all) what video and or drills should I work on? I can throw the club but I don’t seem to be able to transfer that to the golf swing on the course. Thanks I am learning so much from your lessons. Cheers
Throwing the club is a great place to be for getting the right amount of lag to a target; and of course you are throwing to a target right? 😀👍
Next is the prediction process; you want to be able to predict that your contact will be solid and the ball will go in the direction you want it to IF YOU THROW THE CLUB IN THAT DIRECTION!
See “predict contact” video as well as the “goldie locks series” videos!
Have a blast! Shawn
A little of both but more so with the feet apart and the attention on target seems to work better for shorter irons as well. For some reason it is more difficult for me to keep attention on the target & direction of the throw with the longer clubs as well.
Ok, keep an eye on your distance to ball; remember that the hands are farther from the body with the longer clubs! Pre-Deploy…you have seen that video?
OK… I don’t recall a Pre-Deploy video. Is that a premium or a Youtube video? (I did not see it in the premium list.)

I found that I had to slightly hover the club to really feel the weight of the AC unit with the half swing chip. it worked really well for Gap/PW/9/8 etc. However as I repeated the feet together/feet apart and I worked up toward my 5 iron, it became much less consistent. lots of fats and thins. Would that because the club is longer?
Was it fat and this while feet together or feet apart?
Did you have a target while doing either one?
