Shawn, this series has given me the most natural understanding of how the golf swing works. I have one question: does the speed of the swing depend mainly on the length of the backswing and the resulting momentum, or do you also actively add acceleration with your body? I’m asking this while understanding that you advocate using the weight and momentum of the arm-club unit rather than manipulating the club with the arms.

Hi Enrique!
next you want to see “kinetic chain facilitation and engagement series”
when you let momentum release a nice divot in the direction of the target, the brain has to engage the lead side to load the ground (shift weight without thinking) and this engages the kinetic chain to rip right through the ball into the flight plan. This is a reflex action that is pure self preservation, a gift from god, that is pure explosiveness and thus feels like you are just letting the arms fall into the finish.
