Hey Shawn ,
I’m still fighting a bit of a hook . I get to the ball and naturally just close the face before taking it back . It creates a low flight too . Any tips to get me hitting it higher and not fighting the left so much ? Thanks again man!!

Are there videos that you can recommend with how to choose the height of the shots? Like what we can try to get different heights in our shots from 8 iron and down in terms of ball position/tilt/club face? Thanks!

Last time i was on the range i had problems with 3 wood from the ground. Mis hits and max carry was only about 190 yards. Then it came to mind to try baseball release feel. It felt like my body and also clubface was pointing more right before impact. It really felt like i was going to hit way right and i get 210 carry with nice draw 😯😃 So actually are sword, hammer or baseball drill more about FEEL drills? In reality momentum and toe heavy golf club will rotate trough impact without helping. Well you probably had said it many times 😂 but it probably needs enough momentum and good release to target to make it work 🤔

So Shawn if I am hitting driver and I have good alignment to target and it feels like I am swinging and staying with my shot to the right edge of my IP for a right handed golfer (desiring a baby draw) but it is more often than not coming off feeling very well struck and compressed but is consistently pulled pretty far left with a draw that would most likely be a clubface at setup issue? I’ve had several lately that really surprised me as everything felt perfect staying centered and behind the ball and staying with the shot to the right edge of IP and I can’t figure out why it pulls left and goes further left. Could it be the more I am getting through the ball the more I need to open the face a bit at setup? Just want to make sure I understand it right that the initial ball flight using the club with the least amount of loft will be much more affected by clubface angle at setup or grip club relationship etc. I think this video might be exactly what I have been missing if I understand it right. Makes me think I might not be as far off as I thought if it may be just a simple grip club relationship change keeping everything else the same.

Thanks!
Dave

Thanks Shawn! I opened the face just a bit…estimating 4 degrees and wow what a difference. Hit 75% of fairways and misses were just in the rough. This was a lightbulb moment for me…with all clubs. Shot my best score of the year. No lost balls playing same ball for full round which hasn’t been the case lately. Just a couple 3 putts kept me from breaking 80. Hopefully this vaults me to that next level.

The great thing about your teachings is that I become more self sufficient with time. Studying and learning with all of you has been the best decision I ever made.

Great video! This is something that I kind of figured out on my own through trial and error. Having you explain it is great confirmation!
