This video transformed my game for the better, major “AHA” for me. Haven’t put any range time in but have been playing once a month or so since early Spring but have been struggling with consistency of any kind, struggling with pulls, hooks or both at the same time.

Played last Saturday at a tough, tight course I’ve never played at, it has no room for wayward tee shots and has really tricky green complexes. Only hit one tee ball into the junk and was sticking the greens or just off of them all round. Shot an 82 finishing off with bogey, double bogey and probably had 6 lip outs over the course of the round. Golf finally felt effortless again and can’t wait to get back out there. Thanks for the video, Shawn.

Shawn one thing I’ve discovered playing around with this, is feeling the trail arm get into the slot through the release helps prevent turning to face the target a hair early

I’m always trying to stay with the IP, but there’s some shots / spots on the course where it gets hard. Reminding myself to throw the club through the ball into the slot on the release side has helped tremendously.

I can really feel the width. Like the club is stretching my arms out to the target. Could be the “11th commandment” of over the top from your classic series!

Also seems to automatically maintain my inclination to the ground. The club blur looks like it got longer and flatter if that makes sense.

Let me know how you make out!

When I take a backswing it’s more my shoulder under my chin than the bicep

Does this indicate anything in a vacuum? Head tilt a little off?

No not really; you know me and positions! 😝
however, to confirm we are in the correct position at the top, if we can put the doubt at ease, we can then focus on delivering through to the direction of flight!

I assumed as much 😂. It’s a nice feel in my takeaway waggle though!

Hey Shawn, this really illustrated what it means to keep the club in front and not fall behind. You’d think it should be obvious, but spatially it’s easy to get it twisted. Also, the additional view was extremely helpful! I was able to see what great lag this produced.

Can’t wait to try it.

Thanks very much,
Ron
