This may be a stupid question, but which club are you using in this video? And which club are you typically supposed to use for a chip/lob/flop? Is there a video where you discuss this? Thanks!

When you take your grip for a chip shot, do you preset the shut clubface, the same as for a full shot?

No, you want to have a more open face because we are not loading the arm-club unit like in the full swing! See the original chipping video earlier in the list! Shawn
Hi Shawn,
my homecourse is very small and has a lot of tight lies (Austrian Mountains). It happens very often, that the ball is in den semi rough very close to the green and i have the feeling, that i need the most of the weight/energy to get through the semi rough.
In this situation it happens a lot, that my club gets “stuck” in the rough because i don’t want to send the ball to the other end of the green or even further. Then happens everything from yips….
What should i do?
This is where you need to learn the “OPEN FACED CHIP SHOT”
You need a good “LOB WEDGE” with 60 degrees of loft and maximum 8 degrees of bounce and a sole grind that matches the “TS” wedge from Ping or the “C GRIND” sole of Callaway or the “M Grind” of Vokey.
