Hey Shawn
This is,as usual, AWESOME information and Golf Expertise.
I’ve been watching you for years and when you try to hit a fade with your Driver, 99% of the time,it does NOT fade.
In this Video you acknowledge that your Fade is a Straight Draw, and who doesn’t like Straight shots? Hahaha.
But, NEXT TIME YOU ARE TRYING TO TEACH FADE SHOTS with your Driver, can you try it by just opening the face just two degrees and let us see what happens.
So many of the Golf courses I play in Pennsylvania have trees on the right side of the fairway for a medium dogleg right shot.
I’m just curious if that very Modest opening of the c Driver club face will perform the way I think it should. Moreover then if you can show us the Ball position etc with your OPEN Club face, You might be able to help a lot of us reduce our scores on these Right to Left holes, because there are Trees on both sides, so that Straight Draw option has been causing me to be Out of Position on these moderate dog leg right holes.
Thanks and as usual Your Lessons you provide are truly beneficial !!
Thanks
Sorry those Holes are Left to Right NOT Right to Left 🥴
Hey Larry! Yes, got a great video for that called “fade fine tuning” right here on premium. If I have 3 drives in a row, and they start on line and don’t fade, and I struck them in the centre of the face, (toe strikes will not fade because of gear effect) then I will open the face a bit more until I see the movement desired. Have a blast with them! 😀👍
Hi Shawn,
My backspin on drives is way up, around 2500-3000+. Any thoughts on what might be causing this? Great video series!
Thanks,
Hey Jared! Send an email to Mu and have a nice little exchange with him on that as he has become a real master at it. Masawiisrael@gmail.com and tell him I sent you! 😀👍
Hey Sensei! Followed your recommendation to cement weight shift and throwing the club to No Arms – it world a treat to remain focused on the task, using big muscles to heft the club and gravity to send it down the paddock! Makes life easy!
💪👍😀
Hi Shawn,
When I hit a forehand with a tennis racquet (right-handed), my right palm faces down during the backswing, and my elbow flares out. Applying this same motion to my golf backswing, I rotate my right palm to a closed position, which gives me a feeling of more leverage over the ball and better control toward the target. However, I’ve noticed my ball flight tends to draw to the right because the clubface is slightly closed at impact.
Do you have any thoughts on hand rotation during the backswing or any videos you’d recommend to help me improve this?
Thanks!
Yes!! You bet!! See all the “release” videos and then apply them in the “perpetual motion drill”
For some reason when I try to watch I can no longer expand to full screen. It’s like the former controls are no longer available with the new formatting. Any way to add those back to add the full screen functionality?
Hey DL! When you press play, the lower panel should appear where you can go full screen; this is how it is showing up for me. Could be that you need to update your browser? What browser do you use?
Just updated my phone and it seemed to fix it. I wasn’t getting the lower panel for a while there. Weird. Anyway all good now using the Brave browser. Thanks Shawn!
